The road in is rough, with pot holes. Low profile vehicles can drive this but with caution
We will be meeting at 7-730am at Mc Donald’s off of Lyons Ave. Sat
Drink min 16 oz water before Mc Donald’s
Trail begins up hill then down the rest of the way. About 1 plus hour.
Food by patrol or individual:
2 lunch, 1 dinner, 1 breakfast, Snacks
South Fork Campground
Meet at Women's Club at 8:30am.
Campground Info...
Open as long as weather permits - heavy snow play area in winter months. No water. Vault toilets. RV's to 16'. Campsites are first come - first served. Adventure Pass required for vehicles parked at this campground. Location: From Highway 138 in Pearblossom, CA, turn south on Longview Rd. Turn right on Ave. W - this becomes Valyermo Rd. Continue past the Forest Service Ranger Station. Approximately 1/4 mile after you cross the bridge, turn right - approximately 2 miles to campground. (road #4N11A). From South Fork Campground one has access to many hiking trails - one of which leads to the nearby Devil's Punchbowl County Park, another to Vincent's Gap.
